>> Cisco Unity Security Bypass and Denial of Service Vulnerabilities
|
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Cisco Unity, which could be exploited to bypass security restrictions, or conduct cross site scripting and denial of service attacks.
The first issue is caused by an error in the authentication mechanism, which could allow attackers to bypass authentication and view or modify system configuration parameters.
The second vulnerability is caused by an error when displaying stored data, which could be exploited by malicious administrators to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected site.
The third issue is caused due to insecure permissions being set on the "D:\CommServer\Reports" directory, which could allow attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information.
The fourth vulnerability is caused by errors when processing malformed packets, which could allow attackers to cause a denial of service.
The fifth issue is the result of a processing error in an unspecified Microsoft API used by Cisco Unity.
