A vulnerability has been identified in Novell eDirectory, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by an integer overflow error in the "ds.dlm" module when processing psecially crafted requests sent to port 524/TCP, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected application or execute arbitrary code.
Various other issues that could cause the application to crash have been reported.
