Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Debian, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.
The first issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the Kernel ASN.1 BER decoding. For additional information, see : FrSIRT/ADV-2008-1770
The second vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow error in the Kernel DCCP subsystem when processing malformed data, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected system or execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
