Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in IBM DB2, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass security restrictions, cause a denial of service or compromise a vulnerable system.
The first issue is caused by an unspecified error in CLR stored procedure deployment from IBM database add-ins for Visual Studio.
The second vulnerability is caused by a design error where the password used to connect to the database is present in clear text in memory, which could be exploited by local attackers to gain unauthorized access to the database.
The third issue is caused by a stack overflow error in "SQLRLAKA()", which could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
The fourth vulnerability is caused by an unspecified file creation issue in the admin server that could allow malicious users to gain "root" privileges.
The fifth issue is caused by buffer overflow errors in XQUERY, XMLQUERY, XMLEXISTS and XMLTABLE, which could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
Various memory corruption and crashes have also been reported.
