Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Novell GroupWise Messenger, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or compromise a vulnerable system. These issues are caused by buffer overflow and input validation errors when processing malformed spoofed server responses to valid client requests, or overly long user IDs, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or execute arbitrary code.
