A vulnerability has been identified in Akamai Red Swoosh Client, which could be exploited by remote attackers to take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by a design error in the web server (port 9421/TCP) on the loopback interface for management commands, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass authorisation based on the HTTP "referer" header and cause a malicious file to be download from an arbitrary URL and executed on a vulnerable system.
