Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in IBM AIX, which could be exploited by local attackers to gain elevated privileges. These issues are caused by buffer overflow and input validation errors in the AIX kernel, and the setuid root "errpt" and "iostat" commands when processing user-supplied arguments or environment variables, which could allow malicious users to execute arbitrary code with "root" privileges.
