A vulnerability has been identified in Gentoo, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an infinite loop in libid3tag when parsing an MP3 file with a malformed "ID3_FIELD_TYPE_STRINGLIST" field, which could be exploited a remote attacker to crash an affected application by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted MP3 file.
