A vulnerability has been identified in Novell Client, which could be exploited by local attackers to bypass security restrictions and gain elevated privileges. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "forgotten password" dialog when handling an overly long username, which could allow an attacker with physical access to a vulnerable system to bypass the authentication process and execute arbitrary commands.
