A vulnerability has been identified in Asterisk, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused due to insufficent verification of ACK responses during IAX2 handshakes, which could be exploited by remote unauthenticated attackers to cause a vulnerable application to send early audio data to arbitrary addresses, creating a denial of service condition.
