Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in HP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM), which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or gain knowledge of sensitive information.
The first issue is caused by an input validation error in the "OvCgi/OpenView5.exe" application when processing the "Action" parameter, which could be exploited by remote attackers to download arbitrary files from an affected system via a directory traversal.
The second vulnerability is caused by errors in the "ovalarmsrv" service when processing malformed requests sent to port 2954/TCP, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a vulnerable application to exhaust all available memory resources, creating a denial of service condition.
The third issue is caused by a NULL pointer dereference error in the "ovalarmsrv" service when handling malformed arguments, which could be exploited to crash an affected service.
The fourth weakness is caused by an error in the "ovtopmd" service when handling type "0x36" packets, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a vulnerable service to terminate.
