A vulnerability has been identified in SCO UnixWare, which could be exploited by local attackers to obtain elevated privileges. This issue is caused by an input validation error in the "pkgadd" utility when handling environment variables, which could allow malicious users to cause a vulnerable program to create or append malicious data to arbitrary files on the system via directory traversal attacks.
