A vulnerability has been identified in Redhat Directory Server 8, which could be exploited by lcoal attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by insecure permissions being set on the "redhat-idm-console" startup script when installed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which could be exploited by malicious users to modify the affected script and execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running Red Hat Management Console.
