Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Timbuktu Pro, which could be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions, cause a denial of service or potentially take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is caused by errors when processing malformed or invalid instant messages, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected application, creating a denial of service condition.
The second vulnerability is caused by input validation errors when processing attachments, which could be exploited to upload and place malicious files on a vulnerable system via directory traversal attacks.
