A vulnerability has been identified in Debian, which could be exploited by local attackers to bypass security restrictions and obtain elevated privileges. This issue is caused by an error in the splitvt utility that does not drop group privileges before executing "xprop", which could be exploited by malicious users to gain the privileges of the "utmp" group.
