Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Philips VOIP841, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass security restrictions, disclose sensitive information or execute arbitrary scripting code.
The first issue is caused by an input validation error in the embedded HTTP server that does not validate user-supplied requests, which could be exploited by malicious people to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.
The second vulnerability is caused by an input validation error when displaying 404 error messages, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected Web site.
The third issue is caused by a design error where various login credentials are stored in clear text, which could be exploited by attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information.
Other security errors exist in the handling of default accounts.
