A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Java Runtime Environment, which could be exploited to bypass security restrictiona and conduct denial of service attacks. This issue is caused by an error when handling the "external general entities" property, which could be exploited by attackers to leverage the processing of external entity references (even when the "external general entities" property is set to FALSE) to access certain URL resources and create a denial of service condition by tricking a trusted application into processing XML data containing malicious content.
