A vulnerability has been identified in various Mozilla products, which could be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions and gain knowledge of sensitive information. This issue is caused by an input validation error when processing "chrome:" URIs, which could be exploited by malicious web sites to conduct directory traversal attacks and verify the existence of a file on the affected system, or gain unauthorized read access to certain files.
