A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco PIX 500 Series Security Appliance (PIX) and Cisco 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error within the processing of IP packets when the Time-to-Live (TTL) decrement feature is enabled (disabled by default), which could be exploited by attackers to cause a vulnerable device to reload, creating a denial of service condition.
