Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Gateway CWebLaunchCtl ActiveX Control, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "weblaunch.ocx" control when handling overly long arguments passed to the "DoWebLaunch()" method, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page.
The second vulnerability is caused by a design error in the "weblaunch.ocx" control when processing arguments passed to the "DoWebLaunch()" method, which could be exploited by remote attackers to launch arbitrary executables by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page.
