A vulnerability has been identified in Gentoo, which could be exploited by attackers to compromise an affected system. This issue is caused by an error in unp that does not escape file names properly before passing them to certain calls, which could be exploited by attackers to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands by tricking a user or automated system to unpack a compressed archive with a specially crafted file name.
