Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Extended Module Player (XMP), which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control an affected system.
The first issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "test_oxm()" and "decrunch_oxm()" [misc/oxm.c] functions when processing malformed OXM files, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or execute arbitrary code via a malicious file.
The second vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "dtt_load()" [loaders/dtt_load.c] functions when processing malformed data, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or execute arbitrary code.
