Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Libexif, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.
The first issue is caused by an integer overflow error in the "exif_data_load_data_thumbnail()" [exif-data.c] function when parsing malformed EXIF image data, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an application linked against a vulnerable library or compromise an affected system.
The second vulnerability is caused by an infinite recursion error in the "exif_loader_write()" [exif-loader.c] function when processing malformed content, which could be exploited to crash an affected application, creating a denial of service condition.
