A vulnerability has been identified in Intel iwlwifi, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by a NULL pointer dereference error in the "iwl_set_rate()" [iwl3945-base.c / iwl4965-base.c] function during module initialization, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a kernel panic, creating a denial of service condition.
