Multiple vulnerabilities have been idenitified in e2fsprogs, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code. These issues are caused by integer overflow errors in libext2fs when processing malformed filesystem images, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application or compromise a vulnerable system via a malicious image.
