A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error in the Fibre Channel Protocol driver (fcp) and Devices File System (devfs) interaction, which could allow a local unprivileged user to cause commands such as "cfgadm" or "format" to hang when run, or cause a vulnerable system to hang, creating a denial of service condition.
