A vulnerability has been identified in IRC Services, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error when processing overly long passwords, which could be exploited by remote attackes to crash an affected server, creating a denial of service condition.
Note: An unspecified security issue introduced in version 5.1.8 has also been reported.
