A vulnerability has been identified in BitDefender Online Scanner, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the OScan8.ocx and Oscan81.ocx ActiveX controls when processing an overly long and specially crafted argument passed to the "InitX()" method, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page.
