A vulnerability has been identified in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an algorithmic complexity weakness in the way the mcstrans daemon handles ranges of compartments in sensitivity labels, which could be exploited by malicious users to cause a vulnerable daemon to stop responding, creating a denial of service condition.
