A vulnerability has been identified in various Redhat products, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error in the Open Phone Abstraction Library (opal) when processing malformed Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) packets, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an application linked against a vulnerable library (e.g. Ekiga), leading to a denial of service condition.
