A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), which could be exploited by attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information. This issue is caused by a design error when a privileged user (level 15) executes the "test aaa" command on a device that is configured to log events at level 5 (notifications) or above, which could cause the AAA username and password to be sent to the syslog service and transmitted across the network in plain text.
