Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in various Hitachi products, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system. These issues are caused by buffer overflow and denial of service errors in the Cosminexus Developer's Kit for Java when processing malformed images, which could be exploited by atatckers to crash an affected application or execute arbitrary code.
