A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco IOS, which could be exploited by remote attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information or cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error when processing specially crafted IPv6 packets with a Type 0 Routing Header present, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected device or cause data from the buffer memory to be leaked in the form of an IPv6 destination address.
