A vulnerability has been identified in Linux Kernel, which could be exploited by malicious users to bypass security checks, cause a denial of service, or potentially obtain elevated privileges. This issue is caused by errors in the "aac_cfg_open()" and "aac_compat_ioctl()" functions within the Adaptec AAC series RAID controller driver (AACRAID) that do not check the permissions for IOCTLs, which could be exploited by local attackers to perfom certain tasks and potentially compromise an affected system.
