A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which could be exploited by malicious users to bypass security checks and gain knowledge of sensitive information. This issue is caused by insecure permissions being set on the Low Bandwidth X Proxy (/usr/openwin/bin/lbxproxy) utility, which could allow a local unprivileged user the ability to read some data from any file that has group ownership of root on the system.
