A vulnerability has been identified in Avahi, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an "assert" error in the "avahi_string_list_add_arbitrary()" [avahi-common/strlst.c] function when processing empty TXT data over D-Bus, which could be exploited by malicious users to crash an affected application, creating a denial of service condition.
