Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in PulseAudio, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. These issues are due to assertion failures in various functions (e.g. "do_read", "pa_memblock_new", "pa_sdp_parse", "pa_memblockq_new" and "pa_xmalloc") when processing malformed or unexpected data, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application via a specially crafted packet.
