Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Linux Kernel, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or bypass security policies.
The first issue is due to an error in the "ipv6_conntrack_in()" [net/ipv6/netfilter/nf_conntrack_l3proto_ipv6.c] function when reassembling IPv6 fragments, which could be exploited by attackers to cause IPv6 fragments to be tracked as ESTABLISHED, allowing the bypass of rulesets accepting ESTABLISHED packets early.
The second vulnerability is due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the "nfulnl_recv_config()" [net/netfilter/nfnetlink_log.c] function, which could be exploited by attackers to panic a vulnerable system, creating a denial of service condition.
Other potential security issues have also been reported.
