Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Conquest, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary commands.
The first issue is due to a buffer overflow error in the "metaGetServerList()" [meta.c] function that does not validate data received from the server, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application or potentially compromise a vulnerable system by tricking a user into connecting to a malicious metaserver.
The second vulnerability is due to a memory corruption error in the "processPacket()" [client.c] function when processing certain "SP_CLIENTSTAT" packets, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application or potentially compromise a vulnerable system via a specially crafted request.
