A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco Catalyst, which could be exploited by malicious users to cause a denial of service. This issue is due to an error when processing specially crafted Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) packets sent to a system running in Hybrid Mode (CatOS software on the Supervisor Engine and IOS Software on the Multilayer Switch Feature Card) or running with Cisco IOS Software Modularity, which could be exploited by attackers to reload an affected system by sending a packet from the local network segment.
