A vulnerability has been identified in pam_ssh, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass security restrictions. This issue is due to an error in the "auth_via_key()" [pam_ssh.c] function that does not properly restrict private keys with a blank passphrase when the "allow_blank_passphrase" option is disabled, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass security policies via a random but non-blank passphrase.
