Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Bugzilla, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary scripting code or gain knowledge of sensitive information.
The first issue is due to an input validation error when processing certain fields within generated Atom feeds, which could be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser in the security context of an affected Web site.
The second vulnerability is due to an error in the embedded "mod_perl" initialization script that does not set proper permissions for ".htaccess" files, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass htaccess rectrictions and gain unauthorized access to the localconfig file.
