A vulnerability has been identified in GNOME Display Manager, which could be exploited by local attackers to obtain elevated privileges. This issue is due to a format string error in the "gdm_chooser_browser_add_host()" [gui/gdmchooser.c] function when processing user-supplied host names, which could be exploited by unauthenticated local users to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the gdmchooser application (typically "gdm").
