A vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft Windows, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This flaw is due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) when processing specially crafted requests, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash a vulnerable system, creating a denial of service condition.
Note : On Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003 systems, an attacker must have valid logon credentials to exploit this vulnerability.
