A vulnerability has been identified in Sendmail, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This flaw is due to an error in the MIME 8-bit to 7-bit "mime8to7()" conversion routine that does not properly handle malformed MIME messages, which could be exploited by attackers to exhaust the per-process stack space memory available and cause that process to abort.
