Two vulnerabilities have been identified in LibTIFF, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary commands.
The first issue is due to a buffer overflow error in "tiff2pdf" when handling a TIFF file with a "DocumentName" tag containing UTF-8 characters, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or execute arbitrary commands.
The second flaw is due to a buffer overflow error in "tiffsplit" command when handling an overly long filename, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or execute arbitrary commands.
