A weakness has been identified in PhpWebGallery, which could be exploited by attackers to bypass security restrictions. This issue is due to an input validation error in the "picture.php" script that does not properly handle an empty "cat" parameter, which could be exploited by malicious people to disclose arbitrary pictures on a vulnerable system.
