SuSE has released updated packages to address a vulnerability identified in Nfs-server. This flaw is due to a buffer overflow error in "rpc.mountd" that does not properly validate user-supplied data before being passed to the "realpath()" function, which could be exploited by attackers with the ability to create symlinks on any of the file systems on the machine running rpc.mountd to execute arbitrary code with "root" privileges.
