Debian has released updated packages to address two vulnerabilities identified in Mailman. The first flaw is due to an input validation error in the "Scrubber.py" script that does not properly handle an email containing an attachment with "utf8" characters in its filename, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending a specially crafted email to a vulnerable server. The second issue is due to an input validation error when processing overly large numbers in dates, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application.
