A vulnerability has been identified in Fetchmail, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This flaw is due to an error caused by the use of an invalid pointer when attempting to free memory after a message is bounced to the originator or to the postmaster, which may be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application.
